Trending Now: Lots of fingers and toes, Lenny Kravitz and ribs in the pants?

When you pay attention to trending stuff on the web, you run across some very interesting things. Oh boy is that an understatement!

First off, this isn't really weird but I'm throwing it in there because I just think Lenny Kravitz is one sexy, sexy man. His newest album "Black and White America" is out now...and did I mention he is sexy?

In more unusual trending stuff...do you know what polydactyly means? Well I'll tell you. If you are polydactyly, you have more fingers and/or toes than normal. Count yours. Like me, you probably have 10 fingers and 10 toes (basic math - 10 + 10 = 20). Not so for a Cuban man who has 24...count 'em...24 total digits--six on each hand and six on each foot (basic math - 6 x 4 = 24). He's got plenty to pick his nose with...

Okay, and last but certainly not least..."Are those ribs in your pants or are you just happy to see me?" It seems a Pennsylvania man was busted for trying to steal a rack of ribs from a grocery store...by hiding them in his pants. When I saw the trending term "ribs in pants" I had to check it out of course...and having a close friend who has spent 15 years working for a grocery store I had to get the lowdown on thieves stuffing their drawers with goods. Yep, he's seen it all. Apparently pants are popular spots to stash stolen goods.

Have a cool night and rest assured that when you wake up tomorrow, there will be more weird stuff on the web...

Trending: Gadhafi family, Irene, skyscraper fire fighting

Lots of trending stuff on the web starting on Monday, August 29...August is ending with a bang around the world.
Looks like the family of ousted Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi took a hike to Algeria seeking safety. Gadhafi's wife, daughter, two sons and some grandchildren entered Algeria but it is uncertain if the main man himself was with the family.
Irene--the hurricane-turned-tropical-storm may be gone, but she left some major damage behind. Well over two million are still reported without power as of Tuesday! Wow! Thoughts and prayers are definitely with those affected...
With the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 around the corner, I read something interesting that I hadn't really thought about. Being a firefighter is a tough job and I so admire the bravery of these individuals, but I hadn't really thought about the logistics and difficulties of fighting high-rise fires in skyscrapers. Having just visited New York City, I can honestly say, wow those buildings are tall and a fire at the top is something I'm sure my small-town fire department would never have to deal with. Hats off to the big city guys and gals who have such tough jobs and situations to deal with...
That's all for now...more to come about the great big world of the web, from my little spot in the middle of nowhere...
